In three years, we have grown to 35 members. Each year staff support students to lead an event, including ‘Being Queer in the Human Services’ panel and Q&A (2023), and the ‘Connection Circle’ Belonging event (2024).

Established in 2023, the Social Work & Human Services Pride Collective is a partnership between LGBTQIA+ students and staff to build a sense of community and work toward purposeful social action.

The Connection Circle was supported by two therapy dogs from Lort Smith.

In 2025, we focused on allyship. Together we fundraised over $2000 for Sweat with Pride, and held a clothing donation drive for Transgender Victoria’s Affirmation Station
